Highland Terrace has joined the King County Green Schools Program to engage students and staff in learning about sustainability and improving our conservation practices. To help lead these efforts, the school has created the HT Green Team and invited 3rd-5th graders to join.

To kick off the program, the Green Team is launching a recycling initiative in the lunchroom. We need parent volunteers for the first few weeks to help kids learn how to sort their recycling and trash and assist in establishing the new routine.

For more information about the Green Schools Program and the HT Green Team, please contact Teresa Osborn, HT Counselor at teresa.osborn@ssd412.org or 206-393-1308.
