Shoreline School District

Shoreline PTA Council – Shoreline PTA Council provides support, training, and resources to 16 PTAs in the Shoreline School District. Council board members are often former or current local PTA leaders. Council receives $1.50 from each PTA membership. 

In addition to assisting local PTAs, Council runs several notable programs, including:

  • Back to School Consortium event, providing socks, underwear, hygiene items, and school supplies to over 500 families in Shoreline schools (collaborating w/community partners)
  • Holiday Baskets, providing food and gift support to families in need in December
  • Reflections Art Competition and reception
  • Co-sponsorship of Black Voices programming & LGBTQ potluck
  • The WORKS free clothing shop, providing gently used, high quality clothing, hygiene items, menstrual supplies and more to families in our district

Council organizes the PTA Golden Acorn awards dinner, an important volunteer recognition event.

Council organizes support for school levies and bonds, and organizes school board candidate forums.

Council works collaboratively with Shoreline schools, especially school Family Advocates and the Department of Equity.

Council shares resources available to the community via its website – for example, the Shoreline/ LFP Little Free Pantry map.
