Highland Terrace Math Club is an extracurricular activity for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. We meet Thursday mornings 8-9am, starting late October-May. We do extra math lessons, learn great problem solving techniques, and have fun with math concepts. This year, we seek a parent to teach the 4th graders and a parent to teach the 5th graders. You DON’T need any math or teaching background – JUST COMMMITMENT AND ENTHUSIASM. All lesson plans and materials will be provided, and require appx 2-3 hours a week (1 hr teaching Thursday mornings; the rest used to get familiar with the lesson before teaching). Parents will help grade homework & quizzes.
