Teacher Appreciation Week is next week, May 8-12.
Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation go out to all of our educators at HT. Let’s shower our teachers with words and shows of thanks and Orca pride.
Look for an email from your room parent for specific ideas for celebrating your child’s teacher. Or you can do something different–there’s no obligation to participate in the ways listed here.
Here’s a list of suggested activities for the week:
- Monday (5/8) Parent Thank You Day – Send in a personal note about something you appreciate about your child’s teacher.
- Tuesday (5/9) Flower Day – Send your child to school with a flower from your garden or the store. Room parents will arrange the flowers in a vase to make a beautiful bouquet for teachers to enjoy for the rest of the week.
- Wednesday (5/10) Gift Card Day – You can send a physical gift card to school with your child or email a virtual gift card. Some ideas are Starbucks, Amazon, movie theaters, local restaurants, grocery stores, Third Place Books, etc. These can be in any dollar amount of your choosing.
- Thursday (5/11) Student Thank You Day – Have your child write a thank you note to their teacher and bring it to school.
- Friday (5/12) Snack Day – Who doesn’t love snacks? Send in some of your teacher’s favorite snacks.
If you have questions, please reach out to your room parent or Rachel Persing, Room Parent Coordinator
